ACWA Region 9 is one of California’s fastest developing areas and a reliable water supply is critical to the region’s continued prosperity. The region’s water agencies continue their collaborative efforts to implement innovative new ways to meet the needs of water users.
This year the region will host a program to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities of the inland region. Panel discussions will highlight the importance of the region’s agricultural community, efficiency improvements and accomplishments, and how demand for water will be met in the future. Keynote speaker, Jennifer Hernandez, will discuss the impact of California’s climate policies on civil rights, racial equity, and expansion of critical water infrastructure. The event will include lunch and an afternoon reception. Wilson Creek Winery will be open late that evening, and guests are welcome to stay to enjoy live music, food and wine.
